While waiting for Google/Yahoo/MSN/Plenty of Fish/Facebook to approve whatever random crap I slung up on their sites to make some moolah I find myself relaxing.

I justify my stangancy by the fact that I took ‘some’ action…but now what?

This is something I have been struggling with for awhile now. The funny part is it usually happens after I have struck some sort of success on a campaign recently.

For instance, I had a Bingo CPA offer crush it on Facebook for about 3 weeks. I’m talking $300+ a day…man, I could afford to be lazy right? Guess again…

Apparently Bingo/Poker offers are not allowed on FB and this one “snuck” through some how…fuck! There goes that cash cow…

But I noticed something funny (and I have been noticing it more recently too), whenever I take action, hit it out of the park, or generally ‘do something’ I tend to relax.

I step back and admire how clever I thought I was for coming up with some ‘out of the box’ angle on a friggin dating offer on FB or a Biz-Op on Google, or whatever…

Then a few days go by as I wait for the results…What an idiot! In those precious days following a launch I could have been launching something else. BUT WHY DONT I? (If you have some sort of clarity to provide email me).

Anyway, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS RANT?

Well iI am officially drawing my line in the sand…

I will continue to launch, launch, launch…

INSTEAD OF,

launch…wait and see….launch….wait and see…cry, weep, poop my pants… or sometimes CHEER!

Are you with me?

Here is a rant related to demographic targeting and some thing syou should think about if you really want to grab some eyeballs for your offer. This was a post I made on Justin Dupre’s private forum, here you go:

At Justin’s Request – A Blurb about POF Advertising (And Marketing in General)
(This was originally posted in the Social Media portion in response to Justins insight for POF Advertising, but at his request I posted here as a case study…)

Hey Justin,

I believe we talked about this on Skype the other day.

But yeah, I have experienced the same thing. The only way I could get women to click an image & actually convert was with men and sending them to another dating offer. The problem was when you send them to a non-dating offer like Wrinkle Creams or something. There was a huge disconnect.

Taking a woman from a picture of an attractive man to a wrinkle cream solution does not work, even with the headline and copy stating it was geared towards those craters on their face…So my solution? Read on…

I have basically started to incorporate what Dan Kennedy & Bill Glazer would call “Outrageous Advertising” coupled with a little bit of “Tested Advertising Methods” by John Caples.

The result: Increased CTR & Money in the bank.

Essentially you MUST understand your demographics wants and needs. Why are they on a dating site? What are they truly looking for? What does their self-esteem look like on a Thursday night all alone in front of a computer? (Probably unlike an Internet Marketer on a Thursday night )

So what I do now is use 5 key parts & some lateral thinking, check it out (this assumes you have an offer/product in mind):

1. Fully understand my demo’s Wants & Needs (read forums, check headlines, etc….the usual snooping…)
2. Grab relevant-to-offer Eyeball-Grabbin Pic’s
3. Create Headlines that push their buttons/whack the bee’s nest of emotions in their noggin’
4. Use Ad Copy that further relates to them and their plight (not much room, I know, but it is doable!)
5. Test, Track, Repeat…

Example: You choose to market a wrinkle cream to 45+ women, single/divorced/widowed, earning less than $50k per year, looking for a relationship/long-term, non-smoker (cuz supposedly smoking causes wrinkles – Urban Legend?).

What is she thinking about when she is in front of that computer looking for Mr Right and thinking about getting into the dating community in 2010?

Probably scared, not very sexy because after all why would any man want a wrinkly old 45+ year old women when there is a sea of younger, wrinkle-free girls all over the place…Not to mention feeling a bit desperate because she’s also feeling over the hill now that she thinks about it…

What spells young, sexy, and ready to rock more than a wrinkle-free complexion?

WARNING: IDIOCY TO FOLLOW

Target Prospects Thinks to Herself: “Wait a minute…what is that picture of an obviously older woman doing a back-spin with no wrinkles on her face…?”

(Hypothetical Ad)

“Turn Back the Facial Clock 20 yrs!”

(Hypothetical Ad Copy)
“Amazing NEW wrinkle cream helps you recapture your youthful complexion. Click here to learn how!”

Target Prospects Thinks to Herself: “Hmm, if a wrinkle cream can make me look like that and pull off a back-spin to boot, then I think I’ll click that ad and have a look.”

BAM…you just got the click…

Now you just send them to a high converting wrinkle cream offer like Mr T’s Anti-Wrinkle Solution promising to beat the wrinkles out of yo’ face if you order today. He’ll even throw in a FREE Slap-Chop with an autographed picture of the world famous pitch-man Vince!

Wow, that’s an irresistable offer! Ain’t no way those wrinkly old ladies aren’t gonna jump at that offer….

I know it got silly at the end, but this was to hopefully show you how to think outside of the box when marketing on POF.

Sometimes the most obvious path is not the best. Think about how many other people out there are using pictures of handsome guys to get the click? Step outside of the box, put a bit more effort/thought into and test & track…you are bound to strike gold!

Any Thoughts,

Chris

P.S. – Alright Justin, now where are those sexy points and just what exactly do sexy points get me? Non-Wrinkley 45+ Women? My wife would not be happy….

Whats up bitches?

Well, here is my newly revamped blog where I will most likely post shit I’m up to, random rants, and anything else I feel like posting. Like the World Wide Web needs another hack blog about internet marketing, oh well suck it!

So what have I been up to? Well, after getting bored with Article Marketing (which is still a very lucrative business model BTW, I just got tired of it…) I have gone back to the world of Paid Traffic.

I am currently running on various social platforms, ppc platforms and most recently the Mobile Market….Me thinks this sucker is gonna blow up…so keep yer peepers peeled for cool tutorials and insights to this fast moving industry.

How am I monetizing these platforms you ask?

NONE OF YOUR FREAKIN’ BEES-WAX!

Just kidding, with CPA offers of course…am also dabbling in the old list building model for various niches, but this is in the earlier stages of development as I am a lazy bitch when it comes to writing the autoresponder follow ups.

Oh well, that’s it for now. I figured I had to force myself to put something here to get the ball rolling again.

Some of you have asked why I scrapped my old blog. Quite simply I was too damn lazy to keep it up (is there a blue pill for that?) But one of my recent resolutions was to start this bitch back up and help out the newbies who want to do what I do or hear what I have to say…

So on that note, I gots me sum campaigns to manage…

Talk Soon,

Chris
